Read: Luke 8:43-48
When Jesus moved among the crowds, a woman, who suffered from bleeding for twelve years, believed that if only she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be healed. In those days, a woman who had an issue of blood loss was considered to be unclean (Lev. 15:19). According to Jewish laws, the woman who had touched Jesus’ garment was unclean for twelve years. She was socially outcast and must have seen doctors in her time for healing, and nothing worked. But her faith in Jesus brought immediate healing and she became clean.
If you are considered to be socially outcast or lonely, come to Jesus. He will make you whole. He will restore you. When Jesus touches our lives, we will be clean. If you have the faith that Jesus can heal you of your illnesses, restore your marriage, or give you peace under any circumstance, He will do it. Jesus healed the Samaritan leper, the blind man Bartimaeus, and the woman who suffered from bleeding, and when He had touched and healed them He said, “Your faith has healed you” (Luke 8:48; 17:19). Only if you sincerely believe that God is able to do the impossible, you would see His glory (John 11:40).
Jesus can sympathize with us. He can understand what pain we are going through. Let us then with confidence draw near to His throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace and help in time of need (Heb. 4:16). Are you willing to reach out in faith and be touched by Jesus to be delivered?
