Read: John 11
God is aware of every tear that you shed. He sees your hurt if you are suffering in pain (emotional and physical), lonely or if you lost someone or a caretaker of an old parent or a sick child. He sees and is sympathetic to the cry of His children. God keeps an account of every tear that you shed. The Bible says that God collects your tears in the bottle (Ps. 56:8). “Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh” (Luke 6:21).
Jesus wept (John 11:35) when He saw that His beloved friend Lazarus had died. He mourned along with Mary and Martha. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25). By giving life to Lazarus, He was able to wipe away the tears of His beloved loved ones.
In the Bible, we come across Job who was suffering in pain due to the loss of his 10 children. His body was full of wounds and he was in physical pain. Job said, “My face is flushed from weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death” (Job 16:16). God heard his cry and blessed him with good health, wealth, and with 10 children as before.
If you are suffering, go to Jesus. He will heal you from your pains. Isa. 53:5 says, “…By His stripes we are healed.” Cast your burdens unto Jesus, for He cares for you. When Jesus comes back to this world, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the former things have passed away” (Rev. 21:4). Are you awaiting His return?
