Read: Proverbs 31:10-31
Our boss excepts us to be sincere and faithful in doing His work. Also, God desires us to work hard in anything we do. He does not want us to be lazy. He wants us to be prepared to do hard work. Whatever work we do, we should do it unto the Lord and not unto men (Col. 3:23). Let us be reminded that we are working hard for God and trying to be a good testimony for Him.
The Bible teaches us to study the ant, which gathers its food during the harvest time without any ruler or overseer (Prov. 6:6-8). Those who work hard will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies will have no sense (Prov. 12:11). All hard work brings to profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty (Prov. 14:23). Proverbs 31 talks about a hard working mother and wife who cares for her household and servants. She prepares clothing and food for her family, buys land and plants a vineyard, gives to the poor and makes linen garments and sells them. Her family blesses her for all kind deeds. Her own hard work brings her praise from everywhere (Prov. 31:31).
God desires us to be good stewards for His kingdom. He expects us to not be idle in sharing the gospel to lost souls. He wants no one to perish but that everyone should receive eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ. You reward is this: “You will receive an inheritance from the Lord, since it is the Lord Jesus Christ whom you are serving” (Col. 3:24).
