Read: Job 38
All things were created by God and without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1:3). The first verse of the Bible begins with “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen. 1:1). In a period of 6 days God created everything including the universe, plants, animals, fishes and human beings. David praises God, “The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; The world and all it contains, You have founded them” (Ps. 89:11; 24:1). The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land (Ps. 95:5). Every beast (animal) in the forest belongs to God (Ps. 50:10). God knows every bird on the mountain and anything that walks on the earth belongs to Him (Ps. 50:11). All earthly riches belong to God. ““The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,” declares the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:8). Day and night belong to the Lord, for He created it (Ps. 74:16).
When we boast in our education or power in the society, we must be reminded that wisdom and power belong to the Lord (Dan. 2:20). Our worldly possessions are not ours but His. Children are a heritage from the Lord (Ps. 127:3), a reward given to us to cherish. A prudent wife is from the Lord (Prov. 19:14). Every ruler or authority is set by God for His purpose to be fulfilled whether we like it or not. For in Him (Jesus) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him (Col. 1:16).
Since everything belongs to God, He shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Eph. 3:20).
