Read: Revelation 16:5-7
Someone facing a difficult task often goes through three phases: planning how to do it, planning when to do it, and planning. That formula may be funny for ordinary tasks, but in eternal matters, procrastination can be deadly. When God’s judgement comes, it will come with finality. No postponements and no excuses.
C. S. Lewis said, “When the author walks onto the stage, the play is over. God is going to invade, all right; but what is the good of saying you are on His side then, when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and something else comes crashing in? This time it will be God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature. It will be too late then to choose your side. That will not be the time for choosing: It will be the time when we discover which side we really have chosen, whether we realised it before or not. Now, today, this moment, is our chance to choose the right side.”
Today you face a choice; tomorrow you will face the consequences of the choice you made. Today you may choose your path; tomorrow you will discover just where the path has led you. Matt. 25:34,41 says, “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” Which will it be for you: getting “right” with God… or getting “left”?
