Read: Ephesians 2:1-10
In interviews, it is normal for the interviewer to ask the question, “What kind of skill set do you bring?” The interviewer asks this to determine whether the candidate is a good fit for the position. In response, the interviewee does a mental review of his skills and talents, hoping to emphasise the unique characteristics he possesses that would contribute to the success of the company.
What if we had the perfect set of skills required to accomplish what God wants us to do? The spiritual gifts we possess, along with our experiences, natural talents, training, and a submissive heart make up a unique person who has the skills needed for the “good works” that God has “prepared beforehand” (Eph. 2:10). If God has something that He wants you to accomplish and that you know that He is calling you to do, He will provide all what you need to complete the task. The one and only thing He requires of us is that we be found faithful. 1 Cor. 4:2 says, “It is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”
Have you found a place in God’s service where you can be used of Him? Do you doubt God’s provision? Be reminded of Phil. 4:19 which says, “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” So, let us “do good” and “be rich in good works” (1 Tim. 6:18). What God has called you to do can be done by you alone. Consider it a great privilege in working with Him, submit to Him fully, and rely on Him to complete the task for which He has called you.
