Hosea 10: 12 “sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love;”
Once there was a village in which there lived two dogs. The first one went about the village in search of food and entered into a house which was decorated with thousand mirrors. As the dog stepped into the room, it was surprised to see 1000 dogs around him. He wished those dogs with a smile. Amazingly all the dogs responded back with same smile. This dog was so happy to spend the time there in that house and thought to come again to the house. And the second dog also happened to enter into the house. As he entered into the house, it was afraid of many dogs (its reflection from the mirrors). So he started barking at them, they also did the same. Suddenly he ran out of the house thinking never to come back again to this house.
There is a moral in this story. Indeed what the two dogs faced when they entered into the room are the reflections of themselves. The first one is happy and pleasant dog and he got same refection back. The second dog is sad. So he faced the same experience.
Many a times we think people around us are bad and are not friendly. Thus we change our attitude towards them. What happens is we will have unpleasant experience. The truth is what we sow, we will reap the same. When we are happy with people, they will also be happy with us. When we smile at them, they will do the same. When we are kind and good to them, we can expect the same from them.
Today, decide to smile at or encourage the persons whom you come across and see their response. You will be amazed to see those whom you are afraid of and whom you avoided so far will be nice with you
