EXODUS 3:10 “So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” (NIV)
Another experience that propelled the ordinary Moses into becoming an extraordinary great leader whom we know today is the experience of “Revisiting Past Failures”. When God told Moses that he needs to go back to Egypt to deliver God’s people out of Egypt, Moses was so reluctant and protested against what God said, he gave a number of excuses on why he didn’t want to go back. Actually Moses didn’t want to revisit his failure, because Egypt was a failure for him, it was the place where he became a murderer and a fugitive. He was reluctant to go back to Egypt because all what he could see in Egypt was his failure but God wanted him to go back Egypt not to take him back to his failures but so that he could emerge out of Egypt victorious.
God doesn’t want even a single chapter in our life to conclude with a failure. If we think that God is taking us back to the point where we have failed once again let me remind us that God taking us back to our point of failure is not to remind us of our failure but to propel us to emerge victorious this time, so that, we will not be known as the one who failed in a certain aspect but as the one who emerged victorious after that failure. God doesn’t want even a single chapter in our life which concludes with a failure, but He wants to rewrite every chapter that ends with a failure to conclude with a victory.
