JOHN 19 :30 “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost”.
Many of us still believe that God is still angry at us. We mistakenly still believe that there is war raging on between God and man and that God is ticked off every time we fall short of His expectations. Many still believe that the sword of God’s wrath and judgement is dangling over our heads.
But the truth is that God wants us to believe that the act of Christ on the cross has done away with the wrath of God. We should believe in the good news that Jesus came to pay the price, to redeem us, and to stop God’s wrath upon us. We should believe in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross which He Himself declared is finished.
The Gospel is good news. In fact, this Greek world translated gospel actually means “nearly-too-good-to-be-true news”. Today I want to encourage you to believe that God isn’t angry with us, that He loves us and that He want to extend all of His blessings towards us.
