1 John 5:14-15 – “And this is the confidence that we have in Him that if we ask anything according His will, He hears us.”
Have you prayed for something that you really wanted to happen in your life, yet you are not sure if it would be answered, but trusted that God would make it happen? God answers prayers that might seem unimaginable to be fulfilled. The Bible says, “if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you” (John 5:17). God answered the prayer of Elijah to stop the rain (1 Kings 17) and then after three and half years to restore the rain (1 Kings 18). God controls all things (Ps. 29:3-10). “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him” (Col. 1:16).
When Peter was imprisoned in jail under King Herod’s rule and guarded by four squads of soldiers, the church prayed continually for Peter’s miraculous release. They prayed without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17). God answered their prayers. Peter was asleep and thought that he was in a dream when the angel of God released him. The church members failed to believe when Rhoda told them that Peter was standing at the door (Acts 12). God can amaze us. With God nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37). Is there anything that is hard for the Lord? (Jer. 32:27).
God cares for His people through different seasons in life. God is a rewarder for them that diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6). You must have sincere faith and not doubt that God is able to answer your wild prayers, if it is according to His will. Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done” (Matt. 21:21). What is stopping you from praying? Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart (Ps. 37:4-5).
