EXODUS 3:10-11 “Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.” But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” (NLT)
When God met Moses in the wilderness and gave him the great task of leading God’s people, we see the picture of a fearful Moses. Moses feared that he wasn’t capable of fulfilling the task. Moses’ past failure was running through his mind. When he first tried to become the deliverer of the people of Israel he failed miserably and became a murderer and fugitive. He thought that by going back to Egypt the failure would be repeated. Moses had his eyes fixed on the past failures and not the future plans of God.
Most of us are like Moses we live in the failures of the past, we feel since we have failed once, we will keep failing again. Today, I want to remind you that failure is not final, if you have failed once it doesn’t mean that you will fail again, when we fight on our strength we will fail but when we fight in God’s strength there will be no failure but only victory.
