Read: Hebrews 12:1-2
As we live in this world, it is easy to get caught up in various distractions. We look at others for answers for the different problems we face. If we fix our eyes on Jesus alone, He will help us in different situations. Trust and believe that God is ready to take care of unforeseen situations. The baby Moses was placed in the ark and sent through the river Nile by his parents to escape Pharaoh’s sentence of killing the boy babies. They did not know what would happen to their little one. They trusted that God would take care of the baby from the crocodile infested waters of the Nile and from Pharaoh’s people (Exod. 2). God delivered Moses and he became the leader to deliver the Israelites from the land of Egypt.
When Peter saw Jesus walking on water, by faith he walked towards Jesus. When Peter fixed his eyes on Jesus alone, he did not sink. But when he saw that the waters were stormy, he panicked and drowned for a moment. Peter called out to Jesus and He delivered him out of the stormy waters (Matt. 14:28-32).
When we fix our eyes on Jesus alone, He will help us to cross through stormy seas. Heb. 12:1-2 says, “…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith …” Although situations around you may be difficult, look at Jesus alone and trust that He will solve your problems. No one else can help you. Only He can deliver you from all your problems. Cast your burdens on Jesus for He cares for you (1 Pet. 5:7).
