My goal in this series is to share my personal process with you to help you build a closer relationship with God. Everyone is welcome to participate. This is for everyone no matter where you are in your walk with God. Those who are still undecided, I invite you to participate also. It truly is for everyone.
Comments and interactive dialogue are encouraged and welcomed. My goal with this interaction to each other is to build a support system. We can pray for each other, help each other, encourage one another and help our brothers and sisters through hard times. I will answer your questions and pray for each prayer request.
You can comment on here or visit my Face Book page, @courtyardwriter316 I will be posting this study on both pages.
January 1, 2017. A brand new year full of possibilities and opportunities. A clean slate. This year is wide open with choices. It’s up to us to stay rooted in the past or step out into something new and better.
When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are a new creature. We get a fresh start. A new beginning. Give yourself permission to accept this fresh start.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
Notice that the scripture says “any man”. It doesn’t say “any man of a certain color or denomination” It does not say “when you get your crap together”. It says any man in Christ. The only condition is to accept your gift of salvation. When you do that, He gives you a fresh start and makes you new in Him.
Find a quiet place each day and study 2 Corinthians 5:17. Ask God to reveal to you what His new beginning for you looks like.
-What does a fresh start mean to you?
-What does your fresh start look like?
-How could a fresh start bring you closer to God?
-List 5 personal goals for 2017.
-Journal the things you need to stop and start to reach those goals.
I look forward to your questions and comments. Have an awesome week in Christ!
